Which situation are you in?

Note: CrewWX requires an iCloud calendar URL. If you sync CrewHub to Google Calendar or another app, contact us.

A — Full Setup

You haven’t connected CrewHub to a calendar yet and don’t have a public iCloud calendar. We’ll set everything up from scratch.

Step 1: Create an iCloud calendar

1Open the Calendar app on your iPad
2Tap the calendar icon. A list of calendars will show on the left side of the screen.

3Tap Add Calendar at the bottom left

4Select Add Calendar from the list of calendar types.
Select Add Calendar type
5Give it a name (e.g., My Schedule). Make account type iCloud if it’s not already.
Name the calendar and set account to iCloud
6Click on the check mark in the top right of the Add Calendar section.
Tap the checkmark to save
7Find the calendar you just made in the calendar list, and click on the (i) next to it. Click the Public Calendar slider.
Find and select the calendar Turn on Public Calendar
8Click on Share Link… under Public Calendar. Choose Copy. You can now paste this calendar link into the CrewWX signup form.

Step 2: Connect CrewHub to your new calendar

1In CrewHub, tap More in the bottom right

2Tap My Settings and Notifications
Tap My Settings and Notifications
3Under Calendar, tap Sync Trips to iCal then Allow Access
Tap Sync Trips to iCal
4If prompted, tap Allow Full Access
5Your iCloud calendars will be listed — tap the slider next to the calendar you just created

Don’t see any iCloud calendars listed? Go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud and make sure Calendars is turned on, then come back here. Still not seeing them? Email [email protected].

Choose your calendar
6Tap Save. The calendar name should now appear next to “Sync Trips to iCal”
Tap Save

Step 3: Enter the URL in CrewWX

1Paste the URL into the iCloud Calendar URL field on the sign-up form

Keep your calendar URL private — anyone with it can view your schedule.

B — Connect CrewHub to an Existing Calendar

You already have a public iCloud calendar, but haven’t connected CrewHub to it yet.

Step 1: Connect CrewHub to your calendar

3Under Calendar, tap Sync Trips to iCal then Allow Access

Step 2: Copy your calendar link and enter it in CrewWX

2Tap the calendar symbol to bring up the list of calendars
Tap the calendar symbol to show calendar list
3Tap the (i) info button for the calendar that syncs with CrewHub
Tap the info button for the CrewHub calendar
4Tap Share Link… and copy the URL
Tap Share Link Copy the link
5Paste the URL into the iCloud Calendar URL field on the sign-up form

C — Make Your Calendar Shareable

CrewHub is already syncing your trips, but your calendar is private. You need to make it public so CrewWX can read it.

On iPhone or iPad

1Open the Calendar app
2Tap the calendar symbol to bring up the list of calendars
Tap the calendar symbol to show calendar list
3Tap the (i) info button for the calendar that syncs with CrewHub
Tap the info button for the CrewHub calendar
4Turn on Public Calendar
Turn on Public Calendar
5Tap Share Link… and copy the URL
Tap Share Link Copy the link
6Paste the URL into the iCloud Calendar URL field on the sign-up form

On Mac

1Open the Calendar app
2In the left sidebar, find the calendar CrewHub syncs to
3Hover over it and click the broadcast/share icon (looks like a WiFi symbol)
4Check Public Calendar
5Click Copy Link
6Paste the URL into the iCloud Calendar URL field on the sign-up form

D — Get Your Calendar URL

CrewHub is already syncing to a public calendar. You just need to copy the link and paste it into CrewWX.

On iPhone or iPad

3Tap the (i) info button for the calendar that syncs with CrewHub

Test Your Calendar URL

Paste your iCloud calendar URL below to confirm it’s working before signing up or submitting an update. The calendar address should start with either webcal:// or https://

Troubleshooting: My Calendar URL Stopped Working

Apple occasionally resets your calendar’s public URL — this can happen after an iCloud password change or certain account updates. Your trips are still syncing in CrewHub; the link just needs to be refreshed.

Follow the steps in Scenario C or Scenario D above to re-share your calendar and get a new link, then submit it at crewwx.com/update.

Update Your Settings

Need to update your email address, calendar URL, home airport, name, or how early alerts start? Visit crewwx.com/update, enter your current email address, and we’ll send you a secure link good for 24 hours.

Privacy

We collect only what's needed to send your weather alerts: your name, email address, employee number (for employment verification only), home airport, and iCloud calendar URL. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties. You can cancel your alerts at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
